	\section{Welcome}

	\section{Agenda Mutations}
		Agenda is defined as normal plus the point 'Education award'.

	\section{Minutes and Task List of November 7, 2011}
        No comments.\\

        Task List:\\
        111117-0 Peter talked with George Fletcher about Databases exam. George was amazed by the fact that students took so long and their results as well. They already discussed this in an internal meeting with the instructors and also makers of the exam. The way this exam was made was nearly exactly the same as the ones before and in those exams where no problems. George will talk with his students in an instruction and asks the other instructors to do the same.
        111117-1 Peter talked with Cees Midden about Psychology and User. He was surprised to hear there where problems because there were no students that contacted him. The overall point being made is that the course was find chaotic, but there was a clear study-guide. This course is totaly different then all the other exact courses because it is all about reasoning and knowing what is written in the book. Cees would look into the possibility of practising with questions in instructions, but if students have problems they can always go to him with questions.
        111117-2 Kevin would talk with Mark van den Brand about instructors of software, but he is absent and Peter will email him with the question for an update.
        111117-3 Peter talked with the teacher of Probability Theory about the lecture noise. This helped and he mentioned several times that people should go elsewhere if they rather talk.
        111117-4 Peter talked with Roel Bloo about clashing double-p courses. There is never given a guaranty, but if so he would really like to see that. Bor mentions he discussed this with Roel as well. Scheduling is just hard and sometimes impossible to do right.

	\section{Mail}
        There was no mail

	\section{Announcements}
		Laura mentions that there will be retakes for the courses Lineaire Algebra and Verzamelingenleer.

    \section{Complaints collecting}
        \subsection{ringing phone during exams}
            During the last exams the phone of one of the exam proctors rang several times, the fourth time he picked it up and walked away. Why the responsible reacher did not say anything of this. There is decided not to take any action.

    \section{Education Award}
        Peter made a short-list. Rien and Leanne would like to add Martijn Anthonissen, Sorin Pop and Adrian Muntean. The question how there will be controlled that students only vote ones is anwserd with letting them fill in their student number or something equal. Exact implementation details will be decided by Peter later on, he will keep the SR up to date regarding this questionnaire. there will be two awards, one for Mathematics and one for Computer science.

	\section{Councils}
        \subsection{ECM}
            Questionnaires where discussed, but nothing interesting. Next week there will be another meeting discussing a proposal for the major and several electives.

        \subsection{OCI}
            Discussed is if the minutes should be open to everybody, decided is that this won't happen since the meetings are in Dutch and there is no interested. If somebody wants the minutes they can ask for them and if there are important things an news-letter could be used.

        \subsection{OCCSE}
            nothing important discussed.

        \subsection{OCES}
            nothing important discussed.

        \subsection{OCBIS}
            no meeting since last SR.

        \subsection{FR}
            The FR advised positively on the budget with the remark that the employees are under a lot of pressure. This in combination with all the cuts that had to be made by the faculty.
            After the elections the FR is complete again, a new student advisor is chosen in the faculty board and the OER of ESoE is approved. Next meeting will contain the new faculty and the moving.

        \subsection{FRUR}
            Budgets nearly all received a positive advise all with the same remark as W\&I. Only IE\&IS gave a negative advice, but that is ignored.
            Further the new bachelor is discussed, nothing important came out, but it seems that our faculty is doing well and that others have way more problems with getting their major complete.

    \section{AOB}
        Jeroen asks if there is still going to be a board at the new building with Education Award winners. The new building has strict rules about hanging things at walls and before these where not really clear. Peter will ask Joey if there is more known regarding this.

	\section{Questions}
        Bas has a remark regarding the course "Metamodeling and Interoperability" given by Natalia Sidorova. Here is an assignment (worth 30\% of the final mark) is not corrected right. Bas went to the tutors during the making of his assignment which gave a positive impression but when he received his mark it turned out to be a 0.8 out of 3. Then he made an appointment with the corrector and it turned out he did not read everything properly, did not comment everything and negatively evaluated parts unjustified. The next OC-BIS meeting is in March, Bas could (as a member of the OC-BIS) email the members of this committee, but then he would like to know if this opinion is shared by more students. He will ask around and see if he emails this or just discusses this next OC-BIS meeting.

    \section{Next meeting}
        An invite will be sent via mail.

	\section{Closure}
		Peter closes the meeting at 13:31.
